A Little Progress

When I say 'Little' I mean a little. But it made me feel good on the inside while it was being accomplished so I'm going to write about it.

On Friday afternoon I had a pregnancy checkup and asked Jon to please be home in time to watch kids so I could go kidless. He obliged. Shortly after I got back and Garrett was asleep we both went to the garage to start getting it a little more organized so we have room to move things out of the basement.

We started on a project that wasn't really on the top of my priority list in the garage but something that I was glad was done anyway. This was moving all of the tools such as rakes and shovels onto the wall instead of the bulky tool caddy on the floor. It worked out nicely but took over 2 hours instead of the 1 I was hoping for.

We also got the 2 ladders hung, 2 of the kids' bikes hung (it would have been more except we ended up using 2 new hooks I bought and I hadn't bought any more not knowing if they would work), and tightened/fixed the line trimmer holder onto the wall. We got 4 camp chairs with bags hung up using a plastic tool holder I bought several years ago. The problem is that we have more than 4 chairs and I bought the tool holder so long ago that I don't think I can find another like it (I already tried 2 places) to keep the line going. The four chairs sure look nice hung up instead of standing up on the ground against the wall though.

I was hoping we could've finished in the garage or at least made siginificant headway on Saturday, but it barely got touched since we had other things to do and Jon's parents came up to get their X-Cargo cartop carrier and took us out to lunch to Carl's Jr. I did manage to get to Lowe's to get more hooks and a couple bins for the shelves.

It looks better and I can hope that within a couple weeks it will be ready to house more junk in the place of the old junk. I would hope for this weekend but Tanner has an allergy doc appt and it's also Garrett's 2nd birthday this Friday and I'm sure we'll be busy with that. Here's to hoping....

p.s. Anybody want a bulky tool caddy?
