One day I will get to Christmas and Savannah's birthday. Part of my problem is that for Christmas I was really really really spoiled with a very very very nice new digital camcorder/camera. I still don't know how to get the pics/movies downloaded onto the computer. I'm sure it's just a matter of plugging a cable from the camera to the computer but I still haven't gotten around to it. I will though. Soon, very very soon.

I just wanted to post about the results of the ward boundary/building assignment game that no one except Heather dared play. Maybe everyone was afraid of it being such a taboo subject? Maybe I shouldn't have posted it? Maybe no one cared? Maybe all of the above and more.

Anyway, thanks, Heather for your post and if I were doing the game myself I think I would have done it like you. However, this is how the assignments are:
  • 1000 West bldg: Sandridge-9 a.m.; 3rd Ward-11 a.m.; Whisper Wood-1 p.m.
  • 2700 South bldg: Walnut Grove-9 a.m.; Bluff Ridge-11 a.m.
  • 1200 West bldg: South Bluff-9 a.m.; Jensen Park-11 a.m.; Harmony Bluff-1 p.m.
  • Stake Center: Spring Haven-9 a.m.; Silver Lakes-11 a.m.; Heritage-1 p.m.

We are in the Spring Haven ward and in the NE corner of the ward. That means we could have walked to the 1200 W building in about 7-8 min. or driven in about 1.5 minutes but instead we have to drive 4 minutes and or walk 15 minutes. I know. Boo Hoo for us. It's actually not so much that we have to go as far as we do because I know we're spoiled here in good ol' Utah to be that close in the first place. And yes, I was disappointed that I couldn't just tell Savannah to walk to Activity days instead of having to drive her. The biggest issue I had was that I couldn't understand why Jensen Park ward that is totally surrounding the stake center isn't going to the stake center and is going to the building that is closer to me.

So if you feel so inclined (which you probably aren't) look at the map again, and tell me if you agree with that view point or not.

And, yes, I still know the church is true. :)

I agree, I would've switched Jensen and Spring Haven. I was interested in playing the game when I first glanced at the other post, but my time was not available and I didn't get back to it til now.

It's hard not knowing traffic flows and other boundaries. But it seems like whoever is making the decisions would be a little more practical about it.

Like you say, it's not a big deal. But we were so tired of our tedious traffic journey in MD that we were happy go find a house a few blocks from the church here. Go figure. : )
